Slow down the space scene

Decent entry.

Slow down the space scene, make it last longer, and add some ambient music to improve this flash.

I was a bit surpised

I'll be honest, as soon as I saw the words Mario, Sprite, and short, I was looking for the blam button before the movie even started.

Fortunately Newgrounds doesn't let you push zero until you've had the movie up for a while, and the movie wasn't as bad as 90% of the sprite junk that never makes it past the review. In order to help save projects like this from a blam, I would suggest putting a picture thumbnail up, and giving it a title something a little more creative than My Mario Sprite Short, so people will know it's more than some 6 year old kid making a 5 second flash during school lunch.

My tips for improving future movies, add sound effects, try to make more of a concrete plot, and avoid overuse of gags like the old man from Zelda hanging from the wall.

Pretty funny

The animation was ok, motion effects looked good, the background and characters (or, flies, I guess you could say) were kind of boring.

I liked the song. The only thing I might say is that by the time it gets to the end you're expecting something like that to happen, so speeding it up a bit might help that.

Timing is everything. Well, not everything, but timing is what makes otherwise really well animated movies crap. I'm not neccissarily refering to this movie, but other movies the timing just sucks on them.

Reminded me of Edward Siscor Hands

Reminded me of Edward Siscor (yeah, I can't spell siscor, and I'm too lazy to luook it up, so sue me), but that's probably because of the music and the machines.

I really liked the animation and the grahpics. THe story was pretty cool, in a not so ordinary fashion. An ugly and overused doll is made pretty and lovable. Kind of makes me wish I had a machine I could go to that would do that for me. Except I don't like needles, so I woudln't want to get sown up.

The music track I used is titled "Cookie Factory" and is straight off of the Edward Scissorhands soundtrack.

Nothing special

Graphics wise, the skater was ok, but the background really made me want to puke.

I like the music.

There wasn't much variety to the video, I think it's good that you ended it where you did unless you came up with something a little more interesting to happen other than jumping/grinding/falling.

Pretty good for a first animation

That was pretty good for a first animation. It some variety in the begining, and the replay button was hard to spot. But I liked it.

It took guts to post this

Dude, I'm just going to say that you've got some guts for submiting something like this, and I really admire that. I've often tried to make movies or comics with a good scriptual message, but I'm just not talented enough.

Anyway I know you're going to take some flack for making this movie, and doing anything about "religion" is taking a big risk, but don't let people discourage you.

Over all, the graphics could have been prettier, and the movie wasn't very lively, but the somber attitude went with the purpose of the moive.

Just be careful and have some friends watch and review movies before you post them to make sure you don't accidently say something you didn't mean to, or come off wrong (I've had that problem in the past)
